Biography

Jennifer Sprague serves as the Education and Workforce Development Director for the Environmentally Applied Refrigerant Technology Hub (EARTH) at the University of Kansas.

Sprague brings more than 10 years of experience in higher education to the role, with deep expertise in student engagement, organizational collaboaration, and workforce development. Connecting students to meaningful, well-paying careers in high-demand fields is her professional passion, one she has pursued through program leadership, community partnerships, and hands-on approach with student organizations. . 

A committed community leader, Sprague has served on local economic development councils and currently sits on the Kansas WorkforceONE Local Area 1 Workforce Board, where she works to close educational and industry gaps through strategic collaboration. She approaches every initiative as an opportunity to give back, and through EARTH's national cohort, she is able to do that work on a scale that reaches across institutions, industries, and communities.

Sprague is energized by EARTH's mission and is dedicated to creating a sense of belonging and real-world impact for everyone who engages with the hub, including students, faculty, staff, business and industry partners, governing bodies, and the communities they serve. She believes deeply in EARTH's potential to shape the future of our planet and is committed to making that future more innovative and sustainable for all.
