Biography

Jessica L. Tami received her B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Florida in 2018. She performed undergraduate research in the McElwee-White group wherein she synthesized tungsten- and sulfur-containing organometallic compounds for aerosol-assisted chemical vapor deposition. After graduating, Jessica pursued her Ph.D. in Chemistry at The University of Michigan. Jessica worked in the McNeil lab and completed her dissertation titled "Developments in Aqueous and Nonaqueous Organic Redox Flow Batteries" and served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in 2024. Jessica is now a Research Project Manager at The University of Kansas where she is working toward a more sustainable refrigerant economy through the NSF ERC EARTH.
